Multiple Major

It refers to completion of the certain number of credits from courses in other majors in a department a student belongs to or in other departments than his or her original major.

Types
  • 1. Double major

    It refers to second or third major recognized if a student completes the certain number of credits from courses in other majors in his or her department or in other departments than his or her original major.

    • 2. Integrated major

      It refers to integrated two or more majors in departments designated by the University other than original major to enable students to complete a new field.

      • 3. Student-designed major

        A student designs his/her own curriculum other than original major, obtains approval from the president of the University and completes it.

        • 4. Minor

          It refers to completion of other major either in your department or in other department than your original major.

          Key notes

          - If students admitted in 2013 or following years complete exceeding number of required credits for basic major courses it is regarded as optional major courses but if s/he completes exceeding number of optional major courses it is not regarded as basic major courses.

          - If a student of 2013 majoring in Computer Media Information Engineering intends to complete Computer Engineering as original major and Media Information Engineering as double major, s/he shall complete 51 credits including 6 credits of basic department courses in original major and 36 credits of optional major courses in double major to acquire a diploma in both studies as double major is in the same department as original major.

          - If a student of 2013 majoring in English Language and Literature intends to double-major Business Administration, s/he shall complete 51 credits including 6 credits of basic department courses of original major and complete 60 credits including 6 credits of optional major courses of double-major as Department of Business Administration is an integrated department.
