What is early graduation?

Honor students may graduate one or two semesters early by acquiring a maximum of three additional credits per semester as stated in Article 37 of the KNU Regulations.

Eligibility

Students wishing to graduate early must complete 72 credits in four semesters (68 credits for students admitted in 2013 or thereafter) with a GPA of 4.00 or higher and apply for early graduation within the designated period toward the end of their fourth semester.

    Fill out the application and click on “Apply”
Key Notes
  • 1. The following students are not eligible for early graduation: transfer admissions, re-admitted students and others under disciplinary measures in accordance with Article 56 of the KNU Regulations
  • 2. Students whose GPA drops below 4.00 per semester (summer/winter session included) after being granted early graduation will be disqualified from early graduation.
  • 3. Students who are disqualified from early graduation must register for at least eight semesters to graduate and register for courses within the maximum of credits.
  • 4. Credits acquired before disqualification are recognized as credits for graduation.
Graduation Evaluation
  • 1. Those up for early graduation will receive a graduation evaluation along with other students who are to graduate in the related year.
  • 2. Early graduation is indicated in the student’s academic records.
